Seven Things I'm Looking Forward To On The Disney Fantasy...

Adam and I leave for our annual Disney Cruise in just over two weeks. I'm not going to lie, I am completely obsessed with Disney cruising, and it is basically all we think about these days. As you know, planning our Disney vacations is a huge part of the experience, but because of the nature of cruising, there is very little to actually plan as far as what to do while on the ship.  HOWEVER there are PLENTY of things to obsessively get excited about!  Here are seven things that I am really looking forward to!

Number One: Relaxing at Satellite Falls...

We have described the awesomeness of Satellite Falls before...and our lazy hours there on this trip will be plentiful!  Sure, the actual "falls" part is rarely working, but there is something so nice about relaxing on deck 13 with a book.  Nothing but ocean in front of you.

   Number Two: Dinner at Palo...

I know that we had a meh experience during a brunch at Palo on the Disney Magic...but our last dinner at Palo on the Fantasy was truly amazing.  Truth be told, we actually enjoyed our time their more than our meal at Remy.  I seriously can't wait. (and for the record, Remy is amazing too...and we will be enjoying brunch there on this cruise as well.)

Number Three: Drinks at Ooh La La...

Out of everything on this list, this one surprises me the most.  Nothing about Ooh La La is very Disney Hipsters, but something about it just works.  This champagne lounge is dim, underpopulated, and has a PHENOMENAL background music loop.  Not into champagne?  Do what we do, and bring your own drink from somewhere else.  On a Disney Cruise its not a big deal...I like the idea of a champagne lounge, but only drink beer...so there you go.  I love this space.

Number Four: Seeing the Fine Whines!!!!

I'm sure everyone is so sick of us talking about The Fine Whines, but I cannot contain myself.  After months of worry, we have confirmed that "the Whines" will be on our cruise...in fact, they're starting their contract on The Fantasy THE SAME DAY AS OUR EMBARKATION.  Such an amazing coincidence!  This jazz duo is seriously special, and beyond charming.  I can't wait to sit in La Piazza, listening to them play, and enjoying life.

   Number Five: Meeting Random Characters...

You know the drill by now.  The Disney Hipsters are obsessed with meeting Disney characters in the parks.  This is true, for sure.  But on a Disney Cruise you NEVER KNOW who will show up, or WHAT they will be wearing!  Meeting characters on the ship is a totally different experience, and since our cruise includes a Star Wars day we have no idea what to expect.

Number Six: Spending the Day On Castaway Cay...

Besides my beloved Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would rather spend time on Castaway Cay over anywhere else in the world.  I can't explain just how perfect this little island is.  Part Disney Park, part paradise, plus booze.  Watch this video...fall in love

Number Seven: Just Sitting At Vista Cafe...

At some point over the last year we have quietly, and confidently, decided that Vista Cafe is the greatest thing in the world.  It doesn't make any sense really, considering how small the offerings are. However, the openness of the space next to the main atrium of the ship is the perfect place to people watch.  I will be eating my weight in olives soon enough.

Like I said, I couldn't be more excited about our upcoming trip.  And though there isn't really much left to plan, I can still daydream about all of the fun we're going to have...including the above favorites!  Heres hoping that we will come back with all new things to obsess over this year!
