200th Post, In Which We Celebrate Original Content.

We knew going into this blog back in August that it would be a commitment.  At the time we really weren't sure what the content of the sight would be.  News?  No, probably not. Seeing that we don't live in the Orlando area....and if we weren't going to be the first to break it, why even bother?  Should we write long winded and well researched articles examining the history of the company?  That's not really our style either. (plus, there are plenty of amazing websites that already do BOTH those things.)
The one thing we knew we DID NOT want to do was re-hash the same blog posts as everyone else.  We've noticed over the years that things tend to get reported on each and (almost) every Disney related sight. (things have gotten significantly better in recent years...)  So, in addition to critiquing the aesthetic choices of the disney company on a day to day basis, we also wanted to bring our readers original content.   Both of us have backgrounds in art and music, and thought we could use them to help round out our little baby blog. Nine months later, and 200 blog posts, I'm pretty happy to say that we've pretty much stuck with that initial manifesto.
So, starting with three new pieces, here is a re-cap of Disney Hipster Original Content:

Sweet Potato Pan.

More after the jump...

Cucumber Lilly.

 Butternut John.

   Little April Showers.

It's A Small World.

 Portrait of Mr. Eclipse.

Portrait of Wendell...also a prize in our first Twitter contest.

Do Not Anger The Adventureland Tiki Gods!  (I promise a new one is coming soon.)

Country Bear Tree.

 Some Tweedles.

 Princesses.

Exploration of Norway...

Solo Touring...

  Crack Muppets.

Top Five Snacks...

 Drunk teenage Phineas and Ferb.

 My favorite of all caballeros.

Living With the Land Or Die.

So yeah...looking back we've done a lot of fun stuff!  Though at times it is pretty overwhelming to upkeep this thing, it's more often fun than not.  So, I guess the original content will keep coming your way, as long as people are still asking for it.
I would really love to get some feedback on the blog, if people are willing to share their opinions!  Please feel free to contact us:  Disneyhipsters@gmail.com, or via Twitter: @Disneyhipsters
