Wonders of Life: Mobile.

The centerpiece of the interior of the Wonders of Life Pavilion was undoubtedly the constantly moving blue mobile.   This fun piece of nostalgia was designed to be moved by the predominate winds from outside the building!  Very fun, and very Epcot.

more after the jump...

Though, quite amazing, the WOL mobile doesn't hold a candle to the delicate mobiles made by Alexander Calder...

Aesthetically,  this is one park icon that I appreciate.  Suggesting the ebb and flow of life is accomplished nicely through this piece of art.   I do think that some of the subtlety of the piece is lost against the busy system of windows directly above it.  This would work much better on a plain background, or maybe one big window.

As an aside, I'm sorry for the lack of updates this week.  I had to fly to my home town rather suddenly for a family emergency.  I'm back in NJ, and very very tired after a long week.
