Peg Leg Pete Is In and Out.

I just found two wonderful childrens books at the local used book store....including In/Out...A Disney Book of Opposites. The concept of this book is very simple and charming, and is illustrated by Richard Duerrstein in a wonderfully early nineties kind of way.
   The back cover reads:

Mickey is IN the box.  Mickey is OUT of the box.  Pluto is OVER the bar. Pluto is Under the bar.  In this sturdy board book, bold expressive pictures of favorite Disney characters illustrate simple opposites such as UP and DOWN.  Toddlers will love the fresh new look of their favorite friends while learning the basic concept of opposites.

Under normal circumstances (ie- the art of disney store) I'm repulsed by any thing referred to as "fresh new look."  But these are pretty charming, and must be fun for kids.

more after the jump...

  2. Never thought I'd see the day that Peg-Leg Pete came out. Just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover!
