Badass Composer, Bruce Broughton.

When admiring contributions to the Disney theme parks we often think of high profile imagineers like Tony Baxter or Joe Rohde, and for good reason.  We might also think of people who's contributions are small (in park terms) but held in such high regard, namely Mary Blair. (But also more contemporary artists like Shag, who will probably have a long lasting impression.)
I'd like to take a moment to thank Bruce Broughton.  Without realizing, this guy has made me so incredibly happy.  No, you don't have any beautiful images to admire, any architecture to be in awe at, or any stage shows that he's directed.  Bruce Broughton is a composer, and unknowing to me, created not one but TWO of my favorite attraction scores.  In addition to these he has also scored a few awesome Disney movies.  (Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

This music gets me so hyped up...

more after the jump...

Sigh.  So, so, so, wonderful.

music from "The Rescuers Down Under" is played at Hollywood Studios.

I've mentioned it before in my TOP DISNEY MUSIC LOOPS   that the score for Ellen's Energy Adventure is my favorite music in Walt Disney World.  I listen to it at least once a week, often while cleaning my house.  You will NEVER find better cleaning music.   I do realize that Timekeeper is an extinct attraction, but the music can still be heard outside of the magic kingdom...and maybe at the TTC.    Thank you Bruce Broughton for making me smile, a lot.

  1. He also did some really, really lovely work in Bambi 2. I still haven't seen the movie, but I have the soundtrack because I love the music so much.
